Greenville, DE — Servo2Go.com announces the release of the DZRALTE Series of High Performance Digital Servo Drives from Advanced Motion Controls of Camarillo, CA, which are engineered to conquer the most demanding industrial applications!
The DZRALTE Series are digital servo drives that control brushed & brushless servomotors in a compact form factor which make them ideal for embedded applications. These fully digital drives operate in torque, velocity, or position mode and employ Space Vector Modulation (SVM) which results in higher bus voltage utilization and reduced heat dissipation compared to traditional PWM drives. The command source can be generated internally or can be supplied externally. In addition to motor control, these drives feature dedicated and programmable digital and analog inputs and outputs to enhance interfacing with external controllers and devices.
The DZRALTE Series feature a RS-232 interface for drive configuration and setup as well as a RS-485 interface for drive networking. All drive and motor parameters are stored in non-volatile memory. Drive commissioning is accomplished using AMC’s powerful & user friendly free DriveWare software.
The combination of a DigiFlex® Performance™ DZRALTE servo drive with its DriveWare software establishes a new benchmark in versatility! Capabilities built into the DZRALTE servo drives include:
- Size Ranges: 10-175 VDC @ 6A to 30A continuous (60A peak) Output
- Full tuning control of all three servo loops: Position, Velocity and Torque
- Real-time oscilloscope with up to 8 channels to ensure that tuning achieves the highest performance
- Status window with over 50 simultaneous channels for drive and system diagnostics
- I/O configuration configurable to latch/non-latch as well as active-high & active-low

New VLM Servo Motors for value conscious applications March 22, 2019
Posted by Servo2Go.com in New Product Press Releases.Tags: BLDC Motor, Brushless Motor, Kollmorgen, Servo Motor, Servo2Go, VLM Series
add a comment
Greenville, DE — Kollmorgen has launched the VLM servo motor series to fill the gap between stepper and high-performance servo motors. The new VLM series synchronous servo motors offer OEMs, machine builders and end-users, an excellent price-performance proposition in the torque range of 0.5 to 4.5 Nm continuous and 16 Nm peak, with speeds of up to 6000 rpm. They also provide highly flexible configuration, proven quality and high reliability. Hence, they are a very useful solution for many applications where stepper or asynchronous motors are pushed to their limits but the expense and unused dynamics of high performance servo motors is not desirable.
The many standard design and configuration options built into the range allow engineers an optimal solution from the outset, to tailor their applications and machine requirements. Thus, installation time and cost is minimized and the price-performance ratio is further improved. The VLM series motors are available with standard frame sizes of 60 mm and 90-mm or NEMA 23 and 34 in each of the six most popular motor sizes and with a choice of twelve standard windings. The extensive possibilities for shaft and mounting facilitate seamless integration into virtually any system.
Feedback options include Digital Resolver (SFD), resolver, encoder and Hall sensors. VLM motors achieve continuous torque up to 4.5 Nm and peak torque to 16 Nm and can be used in power systems with 230 VAC. And of course, the new motors meet the ROHS Directives for CE and UL certification.

Greenville, DE — Backlash and Torsional Rigidity are both important values to consider when selecting a high precision gearbox as they both affect lost motion (arcmin). GAM’s SPH Flange Gearbox has a single piece steel housing and ring gear machined directly inside for maximum stiffness. The helical gears are precision cut and ground for extremely quiet and smooth torque transmission with a standard backlash rating of < 3 arc-min or < 1 arc-min reduced.
The compact SPH-F gearbox can be used when space is limited and the ISO 9409 compatible output flange allows for easy mounting of machine elements such as pinions, pulleys, or other adapters. To accommodate direct connection to machines, the SPH-F has strong taper roller bearings set at a wide distance and a fully supported planet carrier for high load carrying capacity. The ring gear is machined directly into a single piece steel housing for improved torsional rigidity. Currently offered in three frame sizes, the SPH-F is rated for up to 450Nm nominal and 675Nm acceleration torque in the largest size.
Gam SPH-F Flange Planetary Gearbox features:
- Low Backlash: less than 3 arc-min standard for single stage units, <1 arc-min reduced backlash
- Smooth and quiet torque transmission
- High load carrying capability
- High torsional rigidity
Download the new SPH brochure to see how the SPH Flange stacks up to other flange gearboxes available on the market when it comes to lost motion.

Low-cost Tin-Can Stepper Motors from Nippon Pulse feature high torque and compact size October 14, 2017
Posted by Servo2Go.com in New Product Press Releases.Tags: Nippon Pulse, Servo2Go, Stepping Motor, Tin-Can Step Motor
add a comment
The PF/PFC series tin-can stepping motors are conventional magnet-driven rotary stepper motors with a permanent magnet in their rotor core. Rotating in proportion to the number of pulses sent to the motor, the stepper motor is frequency synchronized and can change speed depending on the frequency of the pulse signal.
Because of its high torque output and low profile construction, applications for tin-can stepper motors include, but are not limited to, printing, packaging, and medical devices.
PF/PFC series tin-can stepping motors are also available with optional gearheads offering increased torque in a small package. Nippon Pulse geared tin-can stepping motors can achieve up to a 2500mN·m maximum torque.
Geared motors from Nippon Pulse are well-suited for fluid dispensing, pumps, valves and a host of other applications that require high torque and smoother motion.
