Greenville, DE- Available immediately are the B060A400AC and B100A400AC analog brushless servo drives providing up to 21kW and 35kW respectively.
The B060A400AC is capable of outputting 60A peak and 30A continuous while the B100A400AC outputs 100A peak and 50A continuous. These servo drives can operate with both AC and DC supply voltages with an AC voltage range of 200-240VAC and a DC voltage range of 255-373 VDC. The built-in shunt circuit alleviates regeneration issues to increase the maximum deceleration rate of large inertial loads. Modes of operation include: Current, Duty Cycle, Voltage, IR Comp, Encoder Velocity, Hall Velocity and Tachometer.
B060A400AC Servo Amplifier
DIP Switch selectable settings allow fine-tuning to match motor and machine dynamics without having to change components on the board. Included are 17 current loop integrator gain settings, 32 current loop proportional gain settings, 8 velocity loop integrator gain settings and 4 tachometer scaling settings. In addition, selectable inhibit logic, fault logic and linear ramping make these drives compatible with more controllers. With so many configuration options these are our most configurable analog servo drives ever.
These new servo drives are suited for a wide range of applications including: assembly/general factory automation, satellite ground station positioning, robotics, testers, metalworking machines, alternative energy control, simulators and more.

Galil DMC-40×0 Accelera Series Now Available with 2 Ethernet Ports May 2, 2013

Galil has just released the latest model in the DMC-40×0 Accelera Motion Controller Series. There is now a -C022 option that provides two Ethernet ports for easy-daisy chaining of multiple controllers. The -C022 option is available for 1- through 8-axis versions of the DMC-40×0 motion controller. For example, DMC-4060-C022 specifies a 6-axis model with dual Ethernet ports.
The DMC-40×0 is part of Galil’s latest generation Accelera series. Based on a powerful RISC processor Accelera controllers provide ultra high-speed with 40 microsecond command processing, up to 32kHz servo update rates, and acceptance of encoder inputs up to 22MHz. Other features include optically isolated inputs and outputs, high power outputs for driving brakes and relays, uncommitted analog inputs, dual encoder inputs for each axis, and plenty of program memory for storing application programs.
The DMC-40×0 provides precise control of a variety of motors including brush servos, brushless servos, steppers and piezo ceramic motors. It can be easily connected to external drives of any size or to internal multi-axis drives contained within the DMC-40×0 controller. The DMC-40×0 controllers with internal drives reduce space, cost and wiring. Table 1 shows the multi-axis drive options available for the DMC-40×0 series.
As a combined controller and drive unit, the DMC-40×0 is compact and measures 8.1” x 7.25” x 1.72” for the 4-axis model and 11.5” x 7.25” x 1.72” for the 8-axis model. The unit accepts power from a single DC supply between 20-80VDC.

New with DW7
- New indexing capabilities to create up to 16 unique index tasks by defining position, velocity, and acceleration/deceleration values where indexes can be either Relative or Absolute motion profiles.
- Servo drives can now store two different configuration settings that include unique Loop Configuration, Gain Set, Command Source and Command Limiter settings simplifying machine design and maintenance for the engineer by allowing switching between each.
- On-the-fly Mode Switching to allow machine programmers for example to switch from velocity mode for a long constant speed move directly to position mode so the motor can be precisely positioned at the end of the move to a specific location.

Applied Motion Products is pleased to announce the addition of eight integrated drive+motors to our line of Ethernet and EtherNet/IP motion control products.
The new STM23 models fuse a high performance motion controller with 100 MBit Ethernet communications to a high torque NEMA23 step motor. Connecting to an Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix or MicroLogix PLC? EtherNet/IP is also available.
The STM23Q-2Ex provides 125 ounce inches of torque, while the longer STM23Q-3Ex produces 210 ounce inches. Both models are available with an optional 4000 count/rev optical encoder, safely housed inside, that can detect and prevent motor stalls using Applied Motion’s proprietary stall prevention algorithm. Our auto tuned digital current control provides smooth, quiet motion, while an advanced anti-resonance algorithm with electronic damping allows for maximum torque utilization, rapid acceleration, and fast settling times.
Software applications can communicate with the STM23 in real time, using the SCL and Q languages over standard 100 megabit Ethernet cabling, addressing and protocols. Ethernet can transmit data at 100 times the speed of CANopen and more than 1000 times faster than RS-232 and RS-485. The number and types of devices that can share a network are practically unlimited.
Even if you are just programming a Q drive for standalone operation, the Ethernet option can be more convenient than chasing down a USB-serial converter and trying to remember which COM port it uses. Just plug the drive into your office network, install our free, easy to use software, and you’re ready for programming and configuration.
